We get to venture all over Australia covering motorsport events. This past week saw us head over to Perth for the fourth round of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.

Barbagallo Raceway, just outside of Perth, has always been a great little circuit. For such a short track, it’s got several fantastic photo opportunities.

In the past, however, it’s been really tricky to get around. We used to have several issues getting access to those great photos spot. The spectator fences used to be right up against the concrete walls. While the bowl section over the back of the track, that’s still not accessible to the public, was almost completely overgrown and almost impossible to access.

So when we arrived this year to find the fences moved and the back section of the track cleared, it was pleasant surprise.

It’s not often that tracks make big changes to benefit photographers. So we’re really thankful to the team at Barbagallo, that have made so many significant improvements. It really helped us produce more high quality content for our customers during our annual trip to Western Australia.

Here’s a small collection of some of Rhys Vandersyde’s favourite Supercars photos from Barbagallo Raceway. You can also find a sampling of our best photos from the support categories in a gallery on our facebook page, as well as some of our customers galleries.

Get in touch to if you’d like to know more about our Motorsport Media services. Our next major motorsport events will see us down in Victoria for two weeks with the Virgin Australia Supercars at Winton and Shannons Nationals at Phillip Island.
