Photo Gallery: Supercars Winton 2019

by May 30, 2019

They call Winton Motor Raceway “The Nations Action Track” for a reason.

The Virgin Australia Supercars Championships annual pilgrimage to rural Victoria was loaded with drama, wasn’t it?

Supercars have used this year to try a lot of things, particularly to reduce their costs, so it was interesting to see how they ran the condensed two program for the main game. It did however, make Friday particularly busy one for us with back to back short support category sessions all day.

A couple of our customers notched up milestones at Winton which was a privilege to capture. Jayden Ojeda earned his first Super3 win taking out the third race of the weekend. While Broc Feeney got to opportunity to sample a main game Supercar for the first time, driving Anton De Pasquale’s Penrite Racing Holden ZB Commodore.

It was great to see Formula Ford getting exposure on the big stage by running as a support category over the weekend. I believe its really important for the young drivers coming through to be able to showcase their ability and sponsors, not only on TV but also in front of a decent crowd.

Feel free to scroll through a selection of my photos from the Virgin Australian Supercars Championship round at Winton Raceway, as well as a couple of shots from the support categories including the Super3, SuperUtes and Formula Ford. ‘
